Fire | Smoke

Door materials when subjected to Fire shall show varying signs of failures.

Flammability

When Door is exposed to Fire, if it is not resistant, will catch fire and propagate further. AKAMA Door, DO NO CATCH FIRE neither can be SOURCE OF FIRE.

Flame Penetration

When Door is subjected to Fire, Door shall be charred at that location and flame will penetrate through it. Fire DOES NOT PENETRATE AKMA Doors even after exposed to flame for 1 hour

Rate of Burning

When subjected to fire, various materials will catch fire, but will have varying rate at which it will burn, but burn it will if it is not Fire Resistant. AKMA Door even after 1 hour of exposure to Fire shall not burn.

Smoke Density Index

People suffer when there is Fire, majority due to inhalation of Smoke and not so much due to heat | fire. Therefore, density of smoke is detrimental in saving lives. AKMA
Door are made in such a way that Smoke Density is below 160.

DOOR FRAMES

AKMA frames are factory-finished to perfectly complement the aesthetic of the door leaf, creating a coordinated look for your vision. Frames and Architraves are made from the same Composite material as that of Door, which brings all its excellent Characteristics.

Frames and Architraves like Doors are also available in various finishes and textures. Generally, we offer 6 to 9-inch width for Frames and from 36 to 48 mm in thickness. Architraves are available in 2 or 3 inches and of 12 mm thickness. Besides, we also offer any customized sizes as specified by you.

The only work we carried out on your site for Frame and Architraves is cutting to required
length and screwing to the wall.

Method of Installation

Fixation of architraves

Fixing of Frame and Architrave is with
concrete screws.

If customer is not able to correct the alignment and
gap is not uniform the same shall be filled with Foam
by our site associates at extra cost.

Necessary handling before fixing the door frame.

Wall should be in straight line and diagonally correct,
this is to be ensured by customer
Our site associates will check the same and if not
correct will inform customer and only upon its correction
they will start installation.

Fixation of maintenance of the door

Once the frame is fitted properly, inside measurement shall be taken for Door.
Door shall be made as per these dimensions to avoid any cutting of Door at site.
This will also ensure the Fire, Water and other properties of Door is not lost.

Once the Door is fitted with this gap all around then can’t be undone.
The gap between Door and Frame shall be 5 mm unless otherwise explicitly specified by you.
